2018 PGMFA Spring Flag U16: About Us

The Prince George Minor Football Association has been in existence since 1966. We are presently a member of the B.C. Community Football Association which is an umbrella organization for Community Football throughout British Columbia. We are also a member of Football B.C. which is the provincial governing body for amateur football in BC.

The Prince George Minor Football Association is a volunteer run organization, dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment in which young people between the ages of 7 and 18, can participate in and learn the sport of full contact Canadian football. We provide an athletic opportunity that is unique. Physical exertion (including regulated body contact), teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication are all key components of successful football. All equipment is supplied with the exception of cleats, socks and a practice jersey.

PROGRAMS

WINTER WORKOUTS

Winter Workouts starts February 5 until March 12. This is for players aged 7-13 and run weekly (Tuesdays 6-8pm). It will take place at Pinewood Elementary School (4140 Campbell Ave). Drop in is $10 per session or $50 for all. Please bring a water bottle and wear gym strip. Parents are reminded to stay with their player or have a responsible adult be there for them.

SPRING FLAG

Spring Flag runs from April - June and is for players turning 7-13 in the current program year. Registration opens in Feb. This is a non-contact sport that teaches the basic fundamentals of football focusing on skill and athletics.Cost and date info will be located under Event Registration once registration is active.

FALL TACKLE

Fall Tackle is a contact sport that runs from July- October. Registration starts June 15.

Atom Division: This division is for players turning 7-9 in the current program year. The PGMFA supplies all equipment needed with the exception of cleats and practise jerseys. Cost and schedule can be found under Event Registration once registration is active.

Peewee Division: For players turning 10 and 11 in the current program year. Cost and schedule can be found under Event Registration once registration is active.

Junior Bantam Division: For players turning 12 and 13 in the current program year. Cost and schedule can be found under Event Registration once registration is active.
