PEE WEE NEWS AUGUST 28TH

The PeeWee division is planning a trip to a BC Lions game on Oct 10th, which requires a considerable amount of fundraising. The bulk of our fundraising is to cover the cost of chartering 2 buses at approx $7700.00. We also fundraise to cover the costs of game tickets for our players and the coaches and last year we raised enough money to pay for a midnight meal (sandwiches and veggies) for those players that stayed overnight on the field.

The BC Lions have been kind enough to reserve 200 tickets for us at the cost of $22.00/ person. They NEED a preliminary head count by Sept 6th so please contact Sherri at 250-564-4441 or holm@unbc.ca ASAP with an expected number of tickets for your family.

This year we were asked to set a FIRM deadline of September 20th for a total headcount. After this deadline, if you decide to go to the game you will be responsible for purchasing your own tickets OR getting rid of your tickets in the event that you can no longer go.

We are in the process of finding a reasonable group rate at a hotel close to the stadium since last year approximately 30 families chose to stay in a hotel rather than on the field.

Our next major fundraiser for the BC Lions trip is Pub Night on Sept 20th. Tickets are now available from the team managers at $15/person. In order for this night to be a success we need silent auction items, please help out by donating an item or by asking a business for a donation. This is a fun adult event and the Riverstone puts on a superb roast beef dinner!!

It’s Time to Raise Some Dough!

Dear Parents

We are looking forward to making this fundraiser a big hit!

Our goal is to raise $3000.00 profit with the In-Dey-Go Cookie Dough fundraiser. This money will help cover the cost of our annual BC Lions trip on Oct 10th., 2008.

Dough can be thawed and refrozen
10 varieties of cookie dough

Here’s the Plan! (Please read carefully)

Kick-off Date: Sept 4th. We’ll send the In-Dey-Go Cookie Dough brochures home with your child.

Selling Date: Sept 5th to Sept 17th. Sell as many items as possible (our goal is 10-20 items per child), record all sales clearly on the order sheet. It’s important to collect all money upfront. **Important** Please make sure that all cheques are made out to PGFMA.

Turn In Date: Sept 18th. Please make sure you or your child turns in the orders and that all money is collected by this date. Any delay will affect all other fundraisers.

Approximate Pick up Date: October 4th. Please pick up your cookie dough on this date, and deliver them to your supporters as soon as possible. This date will be confirmed closer to delivery date.
